The In Mare Foundation named after Piotr Kamiński was established on the initiative of Aleksandra Kamińska, the widow of a sailor who died in an accident at sea. The foundation was created for those who have lost what is most precious to the sea. We support both sailors affected by accidents and their families by providing financial, material, and psychological assistance.

The mission of the Foundation is to provide effective and tangible help to those whose lives have radically changed due to an accident or illness at sea. The Foundation’s activities aim to fill the significant gaps in insurance protection often experienced by seafarers and their families.

The establishment of the In Mare Foundation named after Piotr Kamiński is a wonderful initiative that fills a huge gap in the protection of seafarers and their families.
Based on my over 20 years of experience in providing legal support to seafaring families in compensation cases, I have witnessed many situations where, due to the nature of the accident or legal circumstances, a sailor and their family were left with literally nothing.
In such situations, as their legal representative, I felt complete helplessness in the face of the harm suffered by my clients and their families.
The idea to create a foundation was born years ago—it first became a dream, and then a concrete goal.
