I am reaching out to request financial support due to the difficult life situation I have found myself in.

On May 30, 2022, while working on a ship off the coast of Canada, my husband suddenly and under unexplained circumstances passed away. He was an experienced deck mechanic who had worked on ships for 35 years. From the beginning, he was employed by the company xxxxx, and through them, he sailed on vessels under foreign flags. While my husband was working, I always took care of the home and carried out daily duties related to raising our two sons.

After his sudden death, when overnight I became a widow with two sons, I lost all means of support. I was not granted a pension, and because the last contract was made with a shipowner from Cyprus, to this day I have been unable to claim the compensation owed to me under insurance. I also received no assistance from xxx.

Our daily life has changed drastically, and I am still trying to find my way in this new reality, facing challenges I never had to face before.

My sons, although adults, also need my support — both emotional and financial (one of them is a full-time student).
